The Outside Circle
THE OUTSIDE CIRCLE tells the stories of Len Babb -- a lifelong buckaroo and accomplished western artist, the Murphy family -- fifth generation Oregon ranchers fighting to preserve their land and legacy, and Victoria Jackson -- a Paiute-Shoshone rodeo champion whose family legacy in the Great Basin reaches back over 14,000 years. Determined to preserve their heritage, traditions, and livelihoods far from the cultural, political, and economic centers of wider America – on what working cowboys call The Outside Circle -- the narratives find a common thread in their modest adherence to the values of faith, family, friends, and community.

Joshua Ray Walker
"On his new album See You Next Time, Texas-bred singer/songwriter Joshua Ray Walker shares an imagined yet truthful portrait of a brokedown honky-tonk and the misfits who call it home: barflies and wannabe cowboys, bleary-eyed dreamers and hopelessly lost souls. His third full-length in three years, the album marks the final installment in a trilogy that originated with Walker’s globally acclaimed 2019 debut Wish You Were Here and its equally lauded follow-up Glad You Made It (the #5 entry on Rolling Stone’s Best Country and Americana Albums of 2020 list). “The whole idea with the trilogy was to use the honky-tonk as a setting where all these different characters could interact with each other,” says Walker, who drew immense inspiration from the local dive bars he first started sneaking into and gigging at as a teenager growing up in East Dallas. “In my mind, this album’s taking place on the night before the bar closes forever—the songs are just me taking snapshots of that world, and all the moments that happen in it.”"

What We Leave Behind
At the age of 89, Julián takes one last bus ride to El Paso, Texas, to visit his daughters and their children — a lengthy trip he has made without fail every month for decades. After returning to rural Mexico, he quietly starts building a house in the empty lot next to his home. In the absence of his physical visits, can this new house bridge the distance between his loved ones? Over several years, director Iliana Sosa films her grandfather's work, gently sifting through Julián's previously unspoken memories and revealing both the daily pragmatism and poetry of his life.
